Keeping Your Horse Sound

As many of you know, massage is only one small part of the athletes' care regiment. It is not a subsite for vet care which we will recommend if the issues presented do not appear to be muscular related.

-I see a lot of ulcery horses in my line of work. If we suspect ulcers, please begin treating your horse for them or contact a well respected vet for confirmation.

Saddle Fit

One of the most common causes for back pain is saddle fit. There are very specific trigger points I am looking for that indicate saddle fit and they are normally symmetrical. If I find these points and the fit is not addressed, your horse will continue to have pain and behavioral issues associated with it. For English saddle fit concerns, I recommend Courtney Patton.

Chiropractic Care

Once your horse has received several therapy session and their muscles have been loosened up, I recommend chiropractic care. Massage allows the muscles to relax and let bones find their proper place, however, chiro is the best way to ensure proper alignment. I recommend Northern Lights Animal Chiropractic or Seven Acre Chiro.

BEMER

BEMER is one of the few PEMF applications on the market backed with clinical studies. Designed by doctors for the athlete. It uses electrical signals to stimulate cell regeneration, blood flow, and many more to relieve pain. I have used it on my own damaged knees and was amazed at how much better it made it feel.
